The Symposium is aimed at bringing together specialists in the different fields with the purpose to exchange with ideas and experience in the global aspects of Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos, and the theory and control of rare dynamical phenomena. Topics of interest include but not limited to:

- Synchronization Problems and Rare Attractors. Multiplicity and Control
- Complexity and Rare Phenomena in Nano-Science and Molecular Dynamics
- Rare Dynamical Phenomena in Earth and Celestial Mechanics
- Rare Phenomena in Nature, Economics, Social and History Sciences
- Dynamical and Rare Dangerous Diseases. Rare Phenomena in Medicine and Biology
- Controlling Chaos and Control of Escape Systems. Theory and Applications
- Paradoxes, Riddles and Unsolved Problems of Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos
RA’11 includes invited key-note lectures, 20-25 min. presentations, poster sessions, and social program with several excursions, parties and sport events. Young scientists made the best presentations will be awarded.
All Short Papers will be reviewed for publication in the Symposium Proceedings. Interested contributors of accepted Short Papers will be also entitled to submit an up to ten-page Paper for publication in Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation (Elsevier). The format of the manuscripts should follow the find from the journal website.
Before the Symposium, on Monday May 16, 2011, it is planned a One-Day Tutorial Workshop “How to find rare attractors in nonlinear dynamical systems” addressed to young researches and PhD students.
